Before you come in
What should I know before my first visit?
Harbor Wellness Massage is open 7 days a week, 10 AM to 9 PM, at 1658 El Camino Real in San Carlos.
Booking is online through Square or by phone at (650) 622-8666.
A first visit runs in four easy steps:
- Pick a session from the services menu (the Signature Massage includes hot stones, hot towels, hot compress and cupping) and book online, or call (650) 622-8666.
- Arrive a few minutes early — that leaves time to settle in before your start time.
- Mention any areas you want the therapist to focus on, and say how much pressure you like — light, medium, or deep. Preferences aren't a bother here; they're the whole point of the intake.
- No appointment? Walk in. If a room is open, we'll take you. And because we're open until 9 PM every night, an evening session after work is a real option, not a weekend-only wish.
New to massage in general? The NIH's plain-English things to know about massage therapy is a sensible five-minute read before any first session — ours included — and our own massage guides pick up where it leaves off. Mayo Clinic's rundown of relaxation techniques is another good one if you're booking to unwind rather than to fix a sore back.
Many California cities require massage professionals to be CAMTC-certified — you're welcome to ask about your therapist's credentials when you book, and our guide to choosing a massage therapist lists the other questions worth asking first.
Directions
Getting here
The studio sits on El Camino Real (CA-82), the Peninsula's main surface road, at number 1658 — toward the Redwood City end of San Carlos, roughly a mile from downtown San Carlos in one direction and downtown Redwood City in the other. Driving, we're minutes from both US-101 and I-280, whichever side of town you're coming from.
Taking Caltrain? The San Carlos station in downtown is nearby, and from there it's a straight run up El Camino Real to our door. If in doubt, use the map above or the Get Directions button — it opens turn-by-turn navigation to our exact address.
